Also in preparation for trek, we were suppose to look through our family history for any relatives that might have gone with the Willie or Martin handcart companies. Today, Chad wanted to show the kids where his grandpa and grandma Brown's grave site was in Kaysville. So we got in the car and went up there. We were looking around his grandparents grave and found 4 generations back, his ancestors that were will the Martin Hand Cart Company. It was really neat to show the kids the family line between their dad and Rebecca Maisey. It totally made family history real for me! It would be neat to ask them their stories!
