First Day of School today! Dallin is in 1st Grade, MaCade is in 3rd Grade, and Brynlee is in 6th Grade. A part of me is a little sad this time of year because it means another year is gone and my kids are getting older. Chad always tells me that it is a good thing, which it is, but I don't want them to grow up yet. On the other hand I love the stage that we are in right now in life! It is just Ashlee and I during the day and it is like I went from 4 kids back to just 1. Having 1 is a piece of cake, if you would have told me that when I just had Brynlee, I would have looked at you funny. It kind of makes me feel bad for my boys because they never had a year where it was just them and me.
Meadow is doing a house system like in Harry Potter this year and the kids were to wear their shirts representing their house today. Brynlee and Dallin got into the same house! When I went to drop them off, it was like a party at the school. Who ever was in charge this year did a fabulous job! There were balloons lining the sidewalk, music going, and everyone congregating on the front lawn. You just had to find their teacher in the mass. It was fun to see the sea of colors. I think it made the atmosphere exciting for the kids. Here is to another great school year!
