Florida Trip

Day 1: And we are off to Florida, the kids waiting at the airport.

Dallin's first airplane ride

Day 2: Chad served his mission in Florida so before we hit Disney World he took us to some of the areas that he lived. He has been wanting his family to experience an air boat ride for a long time, so one of our first stops was exactly that.  It was pretty cool how the boat would just run over grass and plants as we went through the swamps looking for alligators.

Then of course we had to experience frog legs, turtle, and alligator tail. Definitely not my preference but I took one for the team. The kids actually likes the turtle meat.

Then we met up with one of the ladies that Chad helped baptize at Satellite Beach and played in the water and went to dinner with her and her daughter to catch up.

We were exhausted but it was a great day.

Day 3: We went to church with a couple Chad met on his mission, He helped get Virgina ready for baptism, but then was transferred. I was cracking up because we were planning on going on a drive after sacrament while we waited for them to get through with church but we didn't have an option. There were about five ladies sweeping the kids off to primary and about two or three people telling us where to go for Sunday school. In Relief Society the lesson started out with the question, "Has anyone one climbed a mountain?" I just thought it was a rhetorical question, but the lady was really looking for someone that has climbed a mountain before. I was shocked that I only saw one hand go up. Really, no one has climbed a mountain? Then I remembered, Oh yeah we are in Florida! THRERE AREN"T ANY MOUNTAINS HERE. Duh! I had to laugh at myself, because it is so common for us to climb mountains. After church we went to their house for a southern cooked Sunday dinner. It was pretty delicious!

Day 4: We decided to spend the day at the beach with the family so we rented Moby Dick and headed to Sarasota. It was a super fun day. We got to see dolphins playing in the water, live sand dollars, sting ray, crabs, and lots of sea shells.

My mom wanted a umbrella, but didn't bring one with her. So we stopped at a thrift store on the way to the beach and she found this one. We called her Mary Poppins all day because she almost would take off with the wind! She was cracking us up.

These were the treasures that Chad found(the crabs and sting ray)

Day 5: The Magic Kingdom and MaCade's Birthday. Our favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Thunder Mountain. I personally liked the splash park. It was so humid there it felt good to get wet and then I could walk around without being so grouchy.

They had a Halloween party that we went to that night so the kids went trick or treating early!

It was MaCade's birthday so at dinner the waiter brings him out a cake and we all sang to him. He was not loving the attention, but he loved getting a cake. I think it was a pretty good birthday!

Day 6: Hollywood Studios. Our favorite ride here was Star Tours, and Brynlee liked the Rockin Roll Roller Coaster, but she was the only one tall enough for it.  It was fun to watch Dallin get so excited when he was tall enough for a ride. He would pump his arms and say, "YES!" He got checked almost everywhere we went. Luckily he didn't mind getting measured all the time. He rode most everything but a couple of the roller coasters.

We waited for buses, trams, ferries, and the monorail to take us to different parks and places.

Day 7: Epcot. Our favorite ride here was definitely Soarin'. We didn't quite make it through the whole park, but we gave it a good effort.

Day 8: Animal Kingdom. We had breakfast with Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy. Our favorite ride here was the Yetti Roller coaster and the Rapids Ride. They had a pretty cool Lion King show here too.

Day 9: We went back to the Magic Kingdom to ride Splash Mountain again and to have lunch with Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eore.

MaCade didn't want anything to do with getting pictures with the Princesses but Dallin was all grins!

Day 10: We roamed downtown Disney until we needed to go back to the airport. The had a Lego Store that was pretty cool. Woody and Buzz are all legos.
It was a super fun trip and lots of memories were made. MaCade hit is head while on the bus back to the airport, we were afraid that he would have to get some stitches, the paramedics came to the airport, but luckily he didn't have to and we didn't miss our flight! It feels so good to be home and in the cooler weather!
