You can't stop Mother Nature!

We have had none stop pouring rain since Sunday. I have actually enjoyed the thunder and lightening storms that have come with it, I always like a good rain storm once in a while, but it has cause a LOT of havoc for Chad and his project. Last night he gets a call at 10:00 p.m. to go and check on the dam, when he shows up there is a river coming over the old dam from the reservoir into the hole where they are building the new dam. ( I had a video that doesn't want to upload showing the river)He didn't come home until 2:00 am trying to salvage things. Here is a before picture of the hole where the new dam is going to be and the sad part is that they had a couple of layers of the foundation laid down. And here is the hole this morning. It turned into a lake. You feel so helpless when all you can do is watch the water continue coming in and fill the hole. This is definitely a sign that the dam is going to take a while longer!
